Guidude, an AI tour guide you can talk to.
Our own AI voice tour guide, built from idea to App Store in 3 months. It now covers 13 cities and 913 points of interest, and its voice replies start 79% faster.

The idea
Most city guides make you look at a screen. Guidude lets you explore a city on foot or by bike while an AI guide tells you about what is around you, hands-free, and answers your questions by voice.
Guidude is InitHere’s own product. We designed and built all of it, from the first idea to the App Store, in 3 months.
What we built
- A mobile app for iOS and Android in React Native. It uses GPS to notice nearby points of interest, such as museums, historic buildings, street art and parks, and starts telling their story automatically, even with the screen off.
- Voice conversations. You can ask follow-up questions out loud, and the guide remembers the conversation, so you do not have to repeat yourself.
- 11 languages, including Danish, with a choice of tone and how much detail you want.
- Three ways to explore: curated walking tours, your own custom route, or free exploration, across 13 cities and 913 points of interest so far.
- A backend in Python and Django on PostgreSQL that handles places, tours, accounts and paid upgrades.
- An AI layer built on Gemini and Claude for narration and conversation.
- An admin panel and a landing page in Vue.js and Nuxt.
Making the voice feel instant
A voice guide only works if the answer comes quickly. In the first version, the user waited a median of 8.6 seconds from tapping Stop until they heard the reply. In a conversation, that feels broken.
We worked on the whole path from the end of the question to the first spoken word. Today replies start about 79% faster, so talking to the guide feels like a natural conversation.
What it means for your project
The skills behind Guidude are the ones we bring to client work: building AI into real products, making slow software fast, and delivering the app, backend and web as one team. If you want to add AI to your existing system, or your software is too slow, we would like to hear about it.
Let’s find out how healthy your software really is.
